The French Economic Association (AFSE) and the Laboratoire Lille Economie Management (LEM) invite you to submit a paper to the 69th Annual Meeting of the French Economic Association that will take place online, from Tuesday June 8 to Thursday June 10, 2021. Online submissions open at noon December 15, 2020. They will close at midnight on February 22nd, 2021.

Submitting a Paper

Submissions of full papers are invited from academic, government and business economists in any field of economics. Papers borrowing methodologies from other sciences are very welcome too. Note that the submitting author must be a member of the AFSE in order to submit a paper. Details on how to become a member of the AFSE can be found here.

Presentations will be exclusively in English.

Submitting a Paper to Sessions co-organized by our Partner Associations

Each year, the AFSE Congress welcomes special sessions co-organised by partner associations which list can be found here. The papers must be submitted in the same way as all other papers for the AFSE congress (see above).

Step 1: Go to the "Submit" page

You have two options:

  • "Create an account" - you will immediately receive an email in order to validate your account. Once validated, your account is ready for use.
  • "Log in" if you've already registered in the past. If you've lost your password, click on the "Forgotten password" button and enter either your id or email. You will need to log in everytime you're coming back on the website.

Step 2: Submit a paper

  1. Log in by using your username and password
  2. Click on "Submission" in the menu
  3. Click on "Submit a paper"
  4. Follow the guidelines and details indicated (4 steps) up to the final validation Overview / Submit.

Step 3: Check the confirmation email

Right after your submission, you will receive the confirmation email (with your submission number). 

Important: your AFSE membership status

Please note that your submission will not be handled if you have not registered as AFSE Member by February 21st, 2021 and paid your subscription fees for year 2020. To become an AFSE member or to update your membership status, please go to the AFSE website.

* AFSE membership will also be required to be a speaker once your paper is accepted.
